Vinfast delivers first 45 autos in U.S.

HCMC – VinFast delivered 45 electronic vehicles VF8 City Edition to customers in California yesterday, March 2 (Hanoi time), marking its first sales outside of Vietnam.

The Vietnamese automaker will continue offering in-store and doorstep delivery services across the U.S., with special incentives for the limited edition.

The vehicles are part of a 999-car shipment sent to California last December.

The VF8 electric crossover is available in two versions, Eco and Plus, with battery ranges of 333 and 307 kilometers, respectively. Distances are estimated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The firm offers a 10-year warranty in the U.S. for its VF8, whereas the maintenance, rescue and repair services are provided the same way as in other markets.

Fourteen auto insurance companies, including State Farm Insurance, Allstate and Liberty Mutual, would offer services for its new model, according to a VinFast representative.

The firm previously announced local lender U.S. Bank as its auto retail financing and leasing partner in the U.S.
