Police search Vietnam Register branch offices in Vung Tau, HCMC

HCMC – The HCMC police today, February 9, searched a branch office of Vietnam Register in Vung Tau City and another in HCMC over their suspected violations of auto inspection and registration regulations.

The HCMC police coordinated with local forces to cordon off Branch Office No. 9 on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street, Vung Tau City this morning, February 9. After a two-hour search, the police took away multiple boxes of documents.

Branch Office No. 6 of Vietnam Register on Ly Tu Trong Street, District 1, HCMC was also searched this morning.

These searches came as the police have been expanding their inspection of bribe brokering, giving and taking and falsifying documents at auto registration and inspection centers in HCMC and other provinces.

As of now, the police have detected numerous irregularities at auto registration and inspection activities throughout the country.

The HCMC Police Department alone inspected five auto testing centers in the southern provinces of Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Soc Trang and eight centers in HCMC.
