This annual HPA activity in promoting production and sales of craft village products, OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, potential and advantageous products of Hanoi and other localities also helps boost tourism promotion between Hanoi and other provinces/cities.

Travel connection

Over the years, the HPA has organized various activities to promote agricultural and OCOP products of Hanoi and other provinces and cities in tandem with the development of craft village and rural tourism.

Specifically, the agency collaborated with Nghe An Province’s Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to organize the Hanoi-Nghe An Product Week 2022 from June 9 to 12.

The event offered Nghe An consumers typical Hanoi products such as Hang Than green sticky rice cakes, Ho Tay shrimp cakes, Tay Ho snail noodle soup, Vong Village’s green sticky rice, Thanh Tri steamed roll rice pancakes, and Ba Vi yogurt. Also on offer were famous handicraft products like Van Phuc silk, Quat Dong embroidery paintings, Bat Trang ceramics, Chuong Village’s rattan and bamboo products, and Ha Thai lacquers.

“This event is aimed at introducing the potential of Hanoi and Nghe An and other provinces and cities as well as strengthening investment in trade, tourism and agriculture promotion activities and helping local businesses seek business cooperation opportunities,” said Vice Chair of the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee Le Hong Vinh.
Following the success of this event, the HPA coordinated with Da Nang to organize the East-West Economic Corridor Trade, Tourism and Investment International Fair from August 3-8, 2022 at the central coastal city’s Exhibition and Convention Center. It drew a large number of domestic and foreign tourists and also introduced the potential, strengths of Hanoi City to the residents of Da Nang, and at the same time expanded tourism promotion between the two major cities.

HPA Director Nguyen Anh Duong said programs to promote agricultural and OCOP products in Hanoi and other localities contribute to raising brand value, diversifying OCOP products associated with local tourism, and promoting agricultural economic development. It is also an effective channel to promote investment and tourism activities in Hanoi with other localities.
