TRAVEL GUIDE Quy Nhon

The coastal city of Binh Dinh province, in the South Central Coast region, is 1,065 km from Hanoi and 650 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Quy Nhon is nestled between the sea on one side and the mountain on the other side with long, poetic curving beaches, fine golden sand, and ravishing blue water.

What season is beautiful in Quy Nhon?

The rainy season only lasts for the last 2-3 months of the year, the rest of the year the weather is dry, especially the period from March to September. Summer from May to September is sunny but not sultry, uncomfortable, and not affected by storms, so it is suitable for visitors to participate in fun and entertainment activities both on the shore and under the sea.

Currently, airlines in Vietnam such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways are all operating routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon, with round-trip fares from about 1,500,000 to 4,000,000 VND per person, depending on the time. .

From Phu Cat airport to the center of Quy Nhon city, there is a bus for 50,000 VND per person, suitable for solo travelers, or a taxi for 200,000 – 250,000 VND per trip. In addition to the plane, visitors can still travel by car or train from neighboring provinces.

Moving to the city, tourists rent motorbikes from 100,000 to 150,000 VND a day or hire taxis and cars to go to further destinations. If you only travel in the central streets but a large group of 8-15 people can choose a tram for 25,000 VND per kilometer and 250,000 VND for 60 minutes.

Nhon Hai – Hon Kho

From the city center, cross the Thi Nai bridge, go to Phuong Mai peninsula, and turn right towards Nhon Hai fishing village. Hon Kho and Nhon Hai fishing villages are attractive destinations thanks to the wild beauty and honest and simple people. From the fishing village, visitors take a canoe or boat to Hon Kho for only about 10 minutes with a round-trip cost of 100,000 VND per person. Hon Kho is a good place to take a day tour or a session. There are not many tourist services on Hon Kho, but there is a wooden bridge built along the island that attracts visitors to take pictures. Hon Kho day tour costs only 220,000 VND per person.

Ky Co – Eo Gio

With blue sea, white sand and sunshine, Ky Co, located in Nhon Ly commune, 25 km from the center, is considered by many to be the Maldives of Vietnam. Visitors can go by canoe from Eo Gio or go by road to Ky Co and then take a canoe tour to Eo Gio or snorkeling beaches. Tickets to visit Ky Co are 100,000 VND per person and the last transit ticket is 40,000 VND per person. In addition to bathing and diving activities, visitors can rent huts to relax on the beach, play water motocross, parachute, camp or stay at a hotel in the resort. Bai Ky Co faces the sea on one side, mountains on three sides, and calm waves and blue water, ideal for a short summer vacation.

Not far from Ky Co is Eo Gio, where there is a walking path hugging the mountainside and spectacular sea views. Tickets to Eo Gio are 25,000 VND per person, after visiting the road, visitors should have enough time to visit Ngoc Hoa Vihara, Linh Phong Son Tu… One-day canoeing tour, snorkeling, and lunch Seafood at Ky Co – Eo Gio costs from VND 700,000 per person.

Cua Bien tourist area

From the center, just go through Thi Nai bridge, and turn right to the tourist area. This is an amusement park with a large campus both onshore and underwater with many attractive outdoor activities such as zipline, artificial climbing, archery, cycling, kayaking, floating water park… Adult tickets are 300,000 VND, children 200,000 VND, and visitors can play all the games without a time limit. Or for each game, visitors buy a separate ticket of 50,000 VND per person. The resort also builds “virtual living” corners, tents, campfires, and barbecues right next to the beach. Opening hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. If visitors stay overnight at the resort’s bungalows, they will be able to participate in games at no extra charge.

Located in Trung Luong village, Cat Tien commune, Phu Cat district, this picnic area is one of the favorite destinations of young people. Inside the picnic area includes many areas such as camping, sleeping in tents, beaches and playing games under the sea, restaurants, cafes, check-in heaven gates… Combining the location and inherent beauty of the surrounding rocky mountains and beaches, the picnic area is very suitable for traveling in groups of friends or family. Opening hours from 8am – 8pm daily. The entrance ticket is 40,000 VND / person, note that when entering, visitors do not bring outside food and drink. The price of renting a tent overnight is about 300,000 VND for two people.

Science Discovery Center (ExploraScience)

5 km south of the city, the center is located at 10, Science Avenue, Ghenh Rang ward. Open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 11 am, in the afternoon from 14 to 17 pm. ExpoScience Quy Nhon is a scientific space complex for students. The center has many activities and rooms to explore and play with the theme of space, physics, chemistry… Currently, this place is open to visitors for free, but it is necessary to contact in advance and organize a group trip. .


Tien Sa Ghenh Rang

About 3 km southeast of the city center, Ghenh Rang Tien Sa is a tourist destination cluster including Ghenh Rang rock beach complex, Tien Sa beach, Hoang Hau beach, Han Mac Tu tomb area, and Ghenh Rang church. From the top of Ghenh Rang, visitors can have a panoramic view of Quy Nhon city and Vang Trang Khe beach. This resort is now open to visitors for free.

Cham towers

Binh Dinh has many Cham Pa relics, especially clusters of ancient towers dating from the 13th – 14th centuries. When traveling near Quy Nhon city, tourists should visit the Twin Towers and Banh It Towers. If you go further, you can visit Canh Tien tower, and Duong Long tower. Tickets to visit Cham towers are 10,000 – 20,000 VND per person.

Village Song Minor Seminary Lang Song
Church, or Village Song Minor Seminary, is located in Quang Van village, Phuoc Thuan commune, Tuy Phuoc district. Visitors traveling along the new National Highway 19 will reach this point faster and combine the route to visit Long Phuoc martial arts pagoda, Thien Hung pagoda and Banh It tower.

Surrounding the church and monastery is a vast rice field. Stepping through the gate is the entrance with two rows of ancient star trees radiating cool green shade. If you contact in advance, visitors can also visit the inside of the church, the area where records and documents are kept about the first printing house to print the Quoc Ngu script. The church is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

Famous temples

Long Phuoc Pagoda is the cradle of Vietnamese traditional martial arts, located in Tan Thuan village, Phuoc Thuan commune, Tuy Phuoc district. Around the temple are green fields scented with new rice, in the temple are flower gardens, bonsai trees and many ancient architectures. The temple is a meeting place for martial arts lovers and martial arts clubs to practice and compete.

Ong Nui Pagoda with the largest sitting Buddha statue in Southeast Asia is a new tourist attraction. The pagoda is also called Linh Phong Son Tu, located on the top of Chop Vung, Phu Cat district, nearly 30 km from the center. Visitors should come to the temple in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the sun and have a panoramic view of the coast at the foot of the mountain. In addition to the giant sitting Buddha, visitors should visit the ancient pagoda where the architecture of the three-door gate, the buu tower, and the main hall was built and decorated very sophisticatedly and beautifully.

Thien Hung Pagoda is one of the most famous pagodas in Binh Dinh, located in Nhon Hung ward, An Nhon town, about 20 km from the center. The temple campus has a 12-story bell tower, curved tile-roofed houses like the old palace, a large lake and lots of green trees. Entering the temple yard, visitors will feel like they are lost in an elaborate historical film set.

Bai Xep fishing village

From the city center along with National Highway 1D about 13 km, visitors come to Bai Xep fishing village located in Quy Hoa sea. There are many types of accommodation here, from affordable homestays, and motels to luxury resorts. Bai Xep has many natural rock formations floating on the water, and smooth golden sand, attracting many young people to take pictures. Going to Bai Xep to visit, tourists not only enjoy the wild beauty and peaceful space but also discover the life of fishermen.

Green Isle

Also known as Van Phi Island, Cu Lao Xanh is located near Xuan Dai Bay, in Nhon Chau Commune. Visitors can visit Suoi Tien lighthouse and well, swim in the sea, watch turtles lay eggs, sleep in tents or homestays on the island or take a boat to go squid fishing with fishermen… To get to Cu Lao Xanh, you take a car To Ham Tu port, choose a tour by canoe to the island, or go by wooden boat on your own. If going by canoe, the price without a tour is 350,000 VND, and the price of a day tour in Cu Lao Xanh is 700,000 VND per person.
