Imperial City of Hue open to visitors after shuttering for COVID-19

The Hue Monuments Conservation Center in central Thua Thien-Hue Province on Thursday announced the reopening of several tourist attractions on October 1, including the Hue Imperial Citadel and royal tombs of Emperors Minh Mang, Tu Duc, and Khai Dinh, after a gap of two months due to COVID-19.

Visitors will only be able to visit outdoor areas of the reopened venues.

To ensure COVID-19 prevention and control, visitors must adhere to governments 5K policy, which includes 'Khau trang' (face mask wearing), 'Khu khuan' (disinfection) - 'Khoang cach' (distancing), 'Khong tu tap' (no gathering), 'Khai bao y te' (health declaration), and scanning QR codes for medical declarations during each visit.

Visitors from other provinces, in particular, must undergo medical supervision in accordance with regulations.

To stimulate tourism, the province is offering a 50-percent discount on entry to the relic sites.
