HCMC - The Saigon Times Group launched the “Saigon Times-Great Circle 2021” program with the theme “Join hands to fight off pandemic” on June 2, aimed at supporting people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The launch was announced at an event during which enterprises in HCMC provided necessities and cash for people in Go Vap District and Thanh Loc Ward, District 12, which are Covid-19 hotspots in the city.

At the event, the Food and Foodstuff Association of HCMC, the HCMC Support Center for Enterprise Development, the HCMC Association of Mechanical and Electrical Enterprises and the Saigon Times Group (under the HCMC People’s Committee) joined hands to call on enterprises to support people in pandemic-hit areas.

Tran Minh Hung, editor-in-chief of the Saigon Times Group, spoke highly of the enterprises’ timely support for people in affected areas. This meaningful activity should be expanded to cover more agencies, enterprises and individuals.

“Donations from everyone, regardless of the amount, will contribute to supporting the frontline forces and people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” he shared.

The program will receive donations from organizations and individuals and then distribute them to needy people in HCMC and other provinces.
