HCMC – Local low-cost carrier Vietjet Air on April 1 resumed some international air services to Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan to meet the travel demands of passengers, considering that Covid-19 vaccination programs are underway in many parts of the world, said the carrier’s representative.

Vietjet now operates international flights on the HCMC-Bangkok route on Fridays. The Hanoi-Seoul flights will be re-launched on April 15, while flights on the Hanoi-Tokyo route were scheduled to depart on April 6th, 7th, 10th to 14th, 19th, 20th, 23rd, 26th, 29th and 30th.

Besides this, the flights from Hanoi to Taipei will depart on April 11.

Passengers can view flight schedules and book flight tickets via the carrier’s official channels such as the website www.vietjetair.com, mobile phone app “Vietjet Air”, the Facebook Fanpage/vietjetvietnam, ticket counters and ticket agents.

As regulated in many countries and territories, the flights from Vietnam are only allowed to transport Vietnamese passengers going abroad to study, work or visit relatives and foreigners returning to their countries from Vietnam.

Passengers should actively search for information available at embassies and diplomatic agencies to complete the paperwork as required by the host countries to ensure their entry is free from problems.

Meanwhile, flights carrying passengers from overseas to Vietnam will continue to comply with the Government’s prevailing regulations on Covid-19 infection prevention and control.

Further, all Vietjet flights are operated in line with Covid-19 safety protocols as regulated by the Ministry of Health and the International Air Transport Association, said the representative.
