HCMC – Thousands of people crowded the streets in major cities such as Hanoi, Hue, Danang and HCMC last night to welcome 2021, enjoying explosive music performances and stunning firework displays to ring in the New Year.
“Thanks to the effective containment of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is a joint effort of the Government and all of the citizens, we can now celebrate New Year with joyfulness,” Phuong, a reveller in HCMC said.
“2020 was a difficult year, with the pandemic and costly natural disasters. I hope 2021 will be better,” she added.
