The sun's golden color at the end of the day covers the red and hundred-year-old ceramic brick kilns lying on both sides of the canal like pyramids, creating a fanciful and fancy scene.
The rivers in the Mekong Delta bring alluvium - an abundant source of nutrients for the southern orchards and orchards- and also create resilient clay, an indispensable raw material for ceramic bricks.

Regarding brickmaking in the West, Vinh Long has the largest number of craft villages and brick-producing households. Ceramic brick village stretches 30km in Vinh Long City, Long Ho district and Mang Thit district. Many brick production facilities are concentrated in Nhon Phu and My An communes, Mang Thit district. Mang Thit brick and ceramic kiln is hundreds of years old and is known as the most famous and largest producer of red bricks and ceramics in the Mekong Delta, exporting to many countries worldwide.

Although only a few furnaces maintain red fire, the rest are damaged and covered with moss and dust, but they create a beauty tinged with time.
According to people in the region, the furnace was on fire every day during the flourishing period. Cargo boats carrying raw materials to and from the canal were parked all over. Most products here are shipped everywhere and exported to many countries, such as Cambodia, Korea, and Thailand. Mang Thit rose to become the biggest Western manufacturer of ceramic tiles.

Local kiln owners said that creating a batch of quality bricks takes over a month and takes many stages.

The first is to knead the clay and shape the bricks before drying. Machines now support this stage, so it is faster and less strenuous.

After drying, bricks will take about 7-10 days to be placed in the kiln. This stage requires experienced people so that when burning bricks, even if they only burn the fire below, they still ensure that they are cooked evenly from the root to the top.

From My Thuan to Dinh Khao ferry, you only need to take a straight road of about 10 km to reach the Co Chien riverside area, where many brick kilns are concentrated. After that, you continue to go to provincial road 902 for more than 10 km, and you will meet the Thay Cai bridge across the Thay Cai River; looking along the two banks is the "kingdom of ceramic bricks" lying closely, spoiled for experience, sightseeing and check-in.
