State President offers incense in commemoration of Hung Kings
NDO/VNA – An incense offering ceremony was held at the Hung Kings Temple Relic Site on Nghia Linh Mountain
The Hung Kings Temple (Den Hung) complex was first built in the 10th century on the Nghia Linh Mountains, 10km from Viet Tri City. The Hung Kings chose Viet Tri as the capital of Van Lang, the first state of the Vietnamese nation.
In recent decades, the city has become an economic, cultural and political hub of Phu Tho Province, applying innovations to promote its position and achieve significant socioeconomic results.
The city has reached an encouraging, year-on-year economic growth averaging 9.64 percent in the 2015-2020 period. In 2021, the city paid more than VND1 trillion in taxes to the state budget. The city's appearance is improving, as are its education and training.
The city’s health system is strongly invested, ensuring good health care for area residents. Cultural activities, information, sports and tourism have also undergone innovation. In particular, the city is highly interested preserving and promoting the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the area, especially the Hung Kings worship rituals and Xoan singing of Phu Tho Province.
