HCMC – Six Vietnamese citizens and one German expert have been confirmed as Vietnam’s latest Covid-19 patients and were placed in quarantine upon their arrival in Vietnam, sending the country’s tally to 2,714 cases as of this evening, April 13, said the Ministry of Health.

Among them, the German expert arrived at Can Tho International Airport on March 29 from the Philippines and is under treatment at Ben Tre Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.

The Vietnamese citizens, including four men and two women, were taken to quarantine facilities in Kien Giang Province and Danang City upon arrival.

Specifically, in Kien Giang, a 26-year-old Hanoian entered Vietnam through Ha Tien International Border Gate in this Mekong Delta province on April 11 and is being treated at a local medical center.

The five remaining cases, aged 20-37, returned home from Japan between April 5 and 11 and are under treatment and quarantine at Danang Lung Hospital.
