Vinamilk and GTNFoods to buy 39.2 million shares of Mộc Châu Milk

This information is reported by Noi Bai Catering Services Joint Stock Company (NCS) in its annual report. According to NCS, after 2 years of shifting to the non-air segment (non-aviation products), the company has created several products such as Tet rolls, moon cakes, and milk tea. In particular, the introduction of milk tea on flights since July 2022 has greatly increased production.
The company recorded total sales of milk tea last year of nearly 22 billion VND, and sales on airplanes accounted for nearly 63.5%, approximately 14 billion VND. Thus, in the second half of last year, a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines earned an average of more than 2.3 billion VND per month from selling milk tea on the plane.![]()
Currently, NCS milk tea is sold on Vietnam Airlines flights for 50,000 VND per cup. In addition, NCS milk tea is also provided to other airline services companies such as VACS, MASCO, and agents.
2022 is also the year the company selling this airline meal broke the circuit of heavy losses due to Covid-19 with a pre-tax profit of more than 5 billion VND. Two years ago, NCS lost more than 38 billion and nearly 77 billion, respectively. Last year, NCS's revenue reached nearly VND 410 billion, exceeding the plan and increasing nearly 3 times compared to 2021. This figure is equivalent to more than 60% of the pre-epidemic level.![]()
The company's business activities until the beginning of 2023 continued to recover strongly when the revenue reached nearly VND 150 billion, up 2.5 times compared to the same period last year. After deducting expenses, the company's profit before tax is VND 10.5 billion - double that of 2022.
NCS said that the first quarter of the domestic aviation market has fully recovered, and the international market prospered when airlines resumed flights and increased flights. As a result, the company's revenue and profit both increased strongly over the same period.
