Taiwan’s airline opens non-stop air service to Danang

HCMC – Tigerair Taiwan has launched an air route linking the Taoyuan international airport in Taiwan and the Danang international airport, making it the third in Taiwan to open a non-stop air service to Danang City since Vietnam fully reopened its airspace in March.

A plane departing from the Taoyuan international airport with 170 passengers on board on December 24 landed in Danang City, marking the launch of the Taiwanese airline’s Taipei-Danang air route.

The Taipei-Danang air route operates two flights per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the local media reported.

This is the first route to Vietnam operated by Tigerair Taiwan, Taiwan’s first and only low-cost air carrier.

Vietnam is one of the strategic destinations for the airline’s future operations. Apart from the Taipei-Danang air route, the carrier will open the Taipei-Nha Trang and Taipei-Phu Quoc air services in the first quarter of 2023, said Chen Han Ming, chairman of Tigerair Taiwan.
