Biggest start-up conference, exhibition opens in HCM City
The annual event, first launched in 2013, connects Vietnamese start-ups with those from Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Israel, Finland, the US and Australia through a series of seminars and round-table discussions on development and management experience, innovation in information technology, automation, artificial intelligence, the Internet of things and social start-ups.
More than 120 exhibitors are also showcasing products, services and the most promising start-up projects selected from previous contests.
Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology, said Ho Chi Minh City aimed to become a start-up hub.
With an eye to this goal, the city has launched a programme to support small and medium-sized enterprises in innovation, improving competitiveness and global integration for the 2016-2020 period.
The two-day event is co-hosted by the municipal Department of Science and Technology and HATCH!
