HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has told the Binh Duong government and Party Committee and the Ministry of Health to direct the competent agencies to look into a case involving five medical centers in Binh Duong that reportedly refused to admit a patient, who later died at his boarding house.

If these violations occurred during the admission and treatment of patients, violators must be handled in line with the law and publicized in the media, the local media reported.

The prime minister also sought the revision and reorganization of the admission and treatment of patients. All emergency cases must be admitted promptly.

PM Chinh said specific solutions must be worked out so that no residents face a lack of food and healthcare services.

On August 13, a man in Binh Duong was taken to five medical centers but no center admitted him. He later returned to his boarding house and died on August 14.

Earlier, the government of Di An City, Binh Duong Province, held a meeting with representatives of the five medical centers, who admitted their shortcomings.
