Vietnam Fashion Fair gathers leading domestic enterprises
The participants include enterprises in the fields of textile and garment, footwear, cosmetics and beauty care from across the country, with numerous famous textile brands such as Nha Be, Viet Tien, Hanosimex, Duc Giang, May 10, Hoa Tho and Phong Phu.
Notably, this year’s event draws the participation of young prominent Ao dai designers such as OZ Design House, Trinh Fashion and Moon Design, featuring new styles and diverse materials.
On the opening night, a fashion show displaying the latest designs with embroidered patterns imbued with national cultural identities created by Ao dai artisan Lan Huong attracted great attention from visitors.
According to Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) Hoang Ve Dung, in addition to expanding export markets, the Vietnamese textile and garment sector has paid much attention to developing the domestic market.
Vietnamese consumers have increasingly been interested in Vietnamese textile and garment products, actively responding to the campaign ‘Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese products’, he added.
He also emphasised that 2016 VIFF offered an opportunity for Vietnamese fashion enterprises to develop their brands and products to better serve the domestic market.
The fair, co-organised by the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre Joint Stock Company, Vinatex, Vietnam Leather as well as the Footwear and Handbag Association and Cosmetics Magazine, will run until December 26.
