Korean biotech products reach Vietnamese market
Opened on September 13, the exhibition introduces more than 120 biological products in the fields of cosmetics, functional foods, medical equipment and environment that are being introduced for the first time in Vietnam.
Ju Su Jeon, Director of CBF, said that the products on exhibition are the result of experts from CBF, produced with modern technologies using the ROK’s most advanced technologies. These biological products are now available in more than 100 countries throughout the globe and are recognised by consumers for their quality and health benefits.
Choi Dong Yong, Mayor of Chuncheon city, added that the ROK city has Korea's first and most modern biotechnology research center, gathering over 60 enterprises active in biotechnology and has released a range of functional foods certified by the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) and EU-GMP biosimilar protein.
According to Choi Dong Yong, Vietnam is the country with the fastest economic growth rate in Southeast Asia. In addition, its large, youthful population and significant incomes will help Vietnam to become a potential market for bio-based products in the years to come.
Truong Thi Nhi, General Director of Lien Hoa Group, a partner of CBF in Vietnam, said that Korean biotech products would help domestic consumers have the opportunity to access and use high quality products that are safe and good for their health.
This is also an opportunity for Korean and Vietnamese businesses to share information and seek cooperation to participate in the supply-distribution chain, whilst further promoting cooperation, development and technology transfer between the two countries.
Korean biotech products will be on display at the Rex Hotel, District 1 until September 15.
