Herbalife Vietnam organizes International Children’s Day

This was part of the voluntary initiatives the company holds on an annual basis with active participation from members and employees to provide practical support and care for children in need.

Accordingly, Herbalife volunteers visited and talked to the children, encouraged them to exercise and participate in physical group activities to stay healthy, and gave them books, school stationery, and other nice gifts.

Mr. Le Trung Thuc, Director of Nghe An Social Activities Center, said: “I would like to express my deep gratitude towards Herbalife Vietnam for giving valuable help to the disadvantaged children of the Center on International Children's Day. In addition to enabling the children to access delicious and nutritious meals every day, Herbalife Vietnam's encouragement and care for the children on these special occasions brings them joy and happiness.”

Ms. Doan Le Phong, Vice President of Women’s Charity Association of HCMC (WOCA), said: “Over the past few years, Herbalife Vietnam has held several practical programs for the needy children of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Charity Association. The company's valuable care for the children on International Children's Day will definitely be a great source of encouragement, helping them be healthier, happier and feel more confident to overcome any difficulties.”

Mr Huynh Ngoc Anh, Director of Dong Tam Social Protection Center, said: “In addition to providing financial support for food subsidy, Herbalife Vietnam has always showed special care for the good sentiments and happy moments that the children need. The company's meaningful gifts on International Children's Day once again brought valuable, timely encouragement to the kids. On behalf of the Orphanage, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Herbalife Vietnam and all independent members and employees of the company”.

Ms. Tu Thi Cam Tho, Director of Huong Duong Orphanage, said: “The gifts as well as the care, visits, and encouragement from Herbalife Vietnam have brought a lot of joy and happiness to the children here on the special occasion of International Children's Day. I was really touched when I saw the happy faces of the children upon receiving their gifts. Your continued support will help them overcome all difficulties in life and grow up stronger.”

Mr Vu Van Thang, General Manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia, said: “I am very proud that community support programs have always received strong responsiveness and active participation form Herbalife Vietnam’s members and employees. I believe the encouragement and care from the volunteers during the International Children’s Day activities has helped bring more joy and happiness to the disadvantaged children and made them more confident about their journeys into the future”.

The Casa Herbalife Vietnam program has helped about 1,000 disadvantaged children have access to healthy nutrition on a daily basis with total grants of over VND14 billion since its launch in 2013. In 2019, Herbalife Vietnam also introduced the Nutrition For Zero Hunger Star Program to its Casa Herbalife Nutrition centers to provide the children with better knowledge of healthy food and how to develop regular exercise habits.
