Earning 1000$ a week, young teachers are busy with coconut painting in the days before Tet

In the past 2 years, Mr. Tien said that consumers tended to buy painted coconuts to burn more incense than carved watermelon.

Starting from a painting teacher, Nguyen Tien (26 years old, currently living in Hai Duong) also takes on a job of painting murals every time he has time. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Mr. Tien imported more coconuts to draw and sold to consumers who wanted to burn this fruit.

The coconuts personally chosen by Mr. Tien are hybrid, beautiful, fresh stalks, round fruits, smooth, shiny right face, not scarred. After that, he took each coconut to clean and dried. The foundation spraying step is extremely important because this is the step to decide whether the coconut is beautiful or not. Waiting for the base paint to dry, Mr. Tien continued to draw the red liner, draw branches, flowers, draw letters and sprinkle glitter on the last word. Finished coconuts after drying will be packed and delivered to consumers.

The price of a coconut, when imported, costs 20,000-25,000 VND, near Tet the price is even higher. Once finished, the price will range from 100,000 to 150,000 VND / fruit depending on how sophisticated the painting is. Mr. Tien said that although there are many models of coconut painting, there are only 2-3 best-selling models with 3 types of background colors: gold-plated, green-yellow, green.
