“The backpacking trips are not only tourism, but I also get to learn and discover local life. In Ha Tinh, I was delighted when I captured the image of a traditional coastal fish market operating in the early morning”, Mr. Tuan Anh shared.

“Whoever comes to Nhuong You will come back. Rice is abundant, fish is easy to do business” is a folk song from Ha Tinh people about the ancient village of Nhuong You, which specializes in fishing with a history of 600 years, now is Cua Nhuong fishing village with scores of points. Con Go market is the busiest.

This Con Go market is located at the end of the embankment of Cam Nhuong commune, close to the foot of Cua Nhuong bridge, about 2 km from Thien Cam beach resort, currently a tourist attraction of Ha Tinh.

The rhythm of sea life is vibrant in the morning on the gentle sandy land of Con Go. Visitors can rent motorbikes from Thien Cam beach resort to visit Con Go and choose the freshest seafood.

A boat full of fish is coming to the dock. Con Go has about 200 small traders, men from the previous afternoon go to sea, return in the morning, and seafood is received by groups of women on the shore. Cam Nhuong commune has about 300 fishing boats near the shore and the daily output of seafood is more than 3 tons.

Due to the peculiarity of Con Go as sand dunes and accretion creeks, the boat is only anchored about 20-30 m from the shore, and then there are basket boats to bring fish to the wharf.

The market sells all kinds of fish, such as bottle fish, spotted fish, all kinds of shrimp, squid, crab, mantis shrimp, fat snail. Fresh squid arrives at the dock and sells for about 250,000 VND – 300,000 VND / kg depending on the type of large and small.

Bottled fish (pictured) is fresh, priced at about 160,000 VND/kg. This fish lives in the estuary, found in localities such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Quang Ngai. In the summer, bottled fish is full of eggs and carries a lot of nutritional value.

Con Go early market only lasts about 3 hours, until the sun rises, the market gradually disappears. At this time, seafood was transported by traders to markets in the province and to restaurants and eateries. In addition to visiting the morning market, visitors can experience the sunset on the sea.
