Three industrial zones in Dong Nai province added to master plan
Dong Nai province will have three additional industrial zones to welcome investors

The three industrial zones (IZs) added to the master plan are Long Duc 3 IZ (253 hectres) in Long Thanh district’s Long Duc commune, Bau Can-Tan Hiep IZ (2,627ha) in Long Thanh district’s Bau Can and Tan Hiep communes, and Xuan Que-Nhan River IZ (3,595ha) in Cam My district’s Xuan Que and Song Nhan communes.

Other industrial zones in Dong Nai province, which have already been approved in Document No.2628/TTg-KTN dated December 22, 2014 of the prime minister, are still in the master plan. The prime minister asked Dong Nai province’s People’s Committee to ensure the accuracy of the information on the areas and location of the newly added IZs, along with the seamless adjustment of the provincial plan for 2021-2030.

The committee will implement the planning of these three IZs to enhance investment attraction, synchronise with infrastructure development, social infrastructure (housing as well as cultural and sports facilities) for employees in the IZs while ensuring environmental protection.

According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Department of Industrial Zones Management, there are 365 IZs and 19 economic zones in Vietnam, including 279 operating zones (82,000ha), 87 zones under development (31,140ha), 17 operating economic zones (65,200ha), and 2 economic zones in the planning. Operating industrial zones and economic zones have achieved an occupancy ratio of 71 per cent.
