Run For The Heart to make a comeback
HCMC – Gamuda Land Vietnam and VinaCapital Foundation have announced the launch of the ninth annual charity
HCMC – Run For The Heart 2023, an annual charity run jointly organized by Gamuda Land Vietnam and VinaCapital Foundation’s Heartbeat Vietnam, has raised over VND5.4 billion to save 193 disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects (CHDs).
After more than two months of fundraising and awareness-raising efforts, Run For The Heart 2023 ended with a companion run day and closing ceremony to announce the total funds raised on February 12 in Tan Phu District, HCMC.
Besides the remarkable fundraising result, the program attracted the participation of more than 10,000 people, including students, employees of many businesses, and lots of families.
The program also cooperated with Vietrace365, one of the most popular online running competition platforms among the Vietnamese runners’ community, to bring the “running track” across the country. The “Run For The Heart Online” race on this platform received a positive response from runners nationwide, with 647 athletes participating and a record of 30,327 kilometers completed.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Gamuda Land Vietnam chairman Angus Liew said, “The slogan ‘Heart to heart – Raise the lives’ truly represents the spirit of this program and the generosity of the community. I’m deeply touched and appreciate the community’s enthusiastic support for Run For The Heart. Gamuda Land will not stop trying to maintain this loving journey in the years ahead, to join hands with the community to bring a brighter future for thousands of disadvantaged children in Vietnam.”

Launched in 2013, Run For The Heart has until now raised total funds of more than VND40 billion. The cumulative number of Vietnamese children saved by the program has now exceeded 1,500.
