“Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” offers useful knowledge on child health, behaviors and intelligence

The “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” workshop in Nghe An facilitated discussion on three practical and useful parenting topics: handling children’s minor illnesses and tips for boosting their immune system, setting a good example for children, giving children regular encouragement and motivation. Discussed topics are within the program’s three main content pillars of intelligence, behaviors and health of children aged 0-6 years. Merited Artist Xuan Bac – NFVC’s goodwill ambassador, volunteered as the workshop’s facilitator.



About 100 Generali Vietnam’s staff and agent volunteers, as well as staff members from the NFVC, Nghe An’s Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs and Provincial Fund for Children, Hoa Sen kindergarten joined hands to support the workshop’s organization.

At the event, Generali Vietnam handed 320 gift sets to all participating children, 320 program booklets to their parents and caregivers, as well as 30 special in-cash and in-kind gift sets to 30 local families in extreme hardship.

Tina Nguyen, Generali Vietnam CEO, shared: “I am very pleased to see such topics discussed at the “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” workshop in Nghe An this time continued to be very well received by the participating parents as well as kindergarten staff and teachers. We are now releasing the new season of the program’s parenting sitcom series featuring lots of useful and practical parenting content to further extend the program’s educational impact and reach to many more families with young children across Vietnam.”

Nguyen Thi Hien, Deputy Director of the NFVC, remarked: “The enormous interest and enthusiastic participation of local parents at the workshop reaffirms a strong demand for parenting knowledge and skills among parents and child caregivers. We hope that both the NFVC and Generali Vietnam will continue to deepen our longstanding and fruitful partnership to bring this program to many more provinces and cities, and thereby proactively contributing to Vietnamese children’s protection, nurture and education.”



To date, “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” has benefited about 5,000 parents, children, kindergarten teachers and staff via local workshops in provinces and cities across the country. It has also garnered millions of views, interactions and positive comments via its sitcom series published on Generali Vietnam’s official Youtube channel, and wide-ranging parenting content on its Facebook fanpage and “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” parenting community group.

Since August 2022, riding on the success of the first season of the program’s parenting sitcom series, “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” has been releasing the 2022 season with 12 brand new episodes on the program’s various digital platforms and Generali Vietnam’s Youtube channel. The second season introduces essential parenting topics such as sugar intake in children’s dietary regime, resolving parenting conflicts, child negligence as a form of abuse, prenatal education, infant care, etc. On this occasion, Generali Vietnam also commits to contributing VND100,000 to “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha”’s operating fund for every successfully issued policy of VITA – Cho Con, Generali’s recently launched education-focused investment-linked insurance product.

Also in 2022, “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” announced the results of the independent impact report for its pilot program in 2020-2021 with an average of 85 percent of parents surveyed agreeing that the program helps improve their parenting knowledge and skills for each topic discussed. Additionally, 97 percent of the parents have changed their parenting approaches as suggested by the program, while the program is also reported to have helped more than 97 percent of the parents reduce their parenting stress.



In 2021, the Generali Group pledged over EUR1 million support for UNICEF’s “Integrated Early Childhood Development (IECD) Holistic Parenting” project as well as the contribution of parenting materials and content from “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” to this important project.

In recognition of “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha”’s innovative approach and its sustainable impacts, Generali Vietnam has received organizational and individual commendations from the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, recognizing outstanding contributions to Vietnamese children’s well-being and protection, and “Saigon Times CSR” certifications for outstanding community contributions consecutively in 2020 and 2021.
