In episode 12 of this “Amazing Vietnamese Foods”, 3 Western guests including Nicholas from Nigeria, Oliver Buckley from the UK, Connor Purdum from the US will taste and rate the most typical Vietnamese spring rolls and rolls. .

In terms of scores, it’s not surprising that Nicholas gave Nem chua 8 points, Oliver gave the dish 7.3 points and Connor gave Nem chua a below average score.

2. Striker

The second dish appearing in the program will probably remind people of the taste of Tet, which is spring rolls, also known as stir-fried spring rolls, which are made from the meat part (the meat from the parts of Vietnam). pig’s head) with mushrooms, onions, garlic, spices and then wrapped and compacted. With the meaning that inside the house is quiet, the house is full of blessings, spring rolls always appear on the Tet tray of Vietnamese families to express the hope that all good things and peace will come in the new year.

When Nicholas saw the ham, he thought it was cheese. But when he tried it, he commented that this dish was not too fatty, nor too much salt, in general “perfect” and did not hesitate to give the dish a score of 10 because “eating is addicting”.

Oliver commented that the fatty taste of this dish is very suitable for sipping with alcoholic beverages

Oliver compliments that the ham has a rich, jelly-like taste, and he loves all jelly foods. Moreover, its fatty taste is extremely suitable for use with alcoholic beverages such as beer. Only Connor described the foot as “tough as a tire” and gave it a score of 2.

3. It’s not a joke

The next dish appearing in the program is spring rolls – a famous specialty in the central regions, made from pork head, pig’s ear (or pork belly) along with beef in the most proportion. determined. After being processed, they are wrapped in guava leaves (or mandarin leaves) and dong leaves (or use banana leaves). When eating, you can eat it as it is with spring rolls, or whip it up and mix it up and serve with some other things.

As soon as he saw the dish, Oliver commented that it was beautifully packaged, and Connor joked that it looked like “the straw scarecrow did half of it and didn’t do it again”. If Nicholas commented that the garlic dish was just enough, the spicy chili was fine, not too sweet, Oliver thought the dish was quite sweet.

However, for Connor, this is the best dish from the start of the show so far. And being a strict scorer, the guy from the US only gave spring rolls a score of 5. Meanwhile, Nicholas and Oliver gave spring rolls a score of 7 and 7.5, respectively.

4. Never mind

The last dish in the program is Cha Dum, a typical dish of the South, but in fact, not all Vietnamese know or have the opportunity to taste it. Cha dum is the perfect combination of minced beef, lean pork, pork liver, egg, vermicelli, .. all ingredients blend together to create the sweet and greasy taste of this dish.

There are many ways to eat fried rice: From eating it with rice paper or shrimp puff pastry to eating rice paper with raw vegetables and then dipping it with sweet and sour fish sauce and each way of eating has its own delicious taste.

When scooping up a spoonful of spring rolls to eat with raw vegetables, Nicholas was as if fascinated by this dish and constantly praised the deliciousness. Even Connor, the most “picky” person on the show, has to admit “this dish is super, very delicious, no taste is too overwhelming but it all blends together harmoniously”.

In terms of scores, this seems to be the most popular dish on the show when Connor – the most rigorous scorer had to give it an 8, Oliver gave it a score of 7 and Nicholas even broke the rules for a score of 11/10.
