HCMC to build nine new pedestrian bridges along metro line
HCMC – The HCMC Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR) has said it will build nine pedestrian bridges at elevated stations along the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line.

Of the 11 elevated stations, the MAUR plans to build the pedestrian bridges at nine elevated stations: Tan Cang, Thao Dien, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, Thu Duc, High-Tech Zone and National University.

Each bridge will be 78 meters long and 3.5 meters wide. Moreover, the bridges will be built near bus stops to make it convenient for commuters to access the stations.

Work on the nine bridges could be completed by the end of this year, along with the completion of the whole Metro Line No. 1, which links the landmark Ben Thanh Market in District 1 and the Suoi Tien Theme Park in Thu Duc City.
