XHamster blows a load of justice on North Carolina over anti-LGBT bill
People that are pissed about House Bill 2 (HB2) — legislation that robs North Carolina citizens of protection against discrimination — probably aren’t going to be happy with XHamster’s announcement today that it’s pulling out of the state.
“As of today, access to XHamster.com is blacked out in the state of North Carolina until further notice. Judging by the stats of what you North Carolinians watch, we feel this punishment is a severe one. We will not standby and pump revenue into a system that promotes this type of garbage. We respect all sexualities and embrace them.”
Last week PayPal shuttered plans to open a new operations center in North Carolina — a move that would have brought 400 additional jobs to the state. Before that, 80 CEOs of the some of the world’s largest companies joined together in signing a petition asking for Governor Pat McRory to repeal the bill.
Not to be outdone, XHamster delivered the moneyshot by stripping North Carolina residents of their god-given right to free smut — at least at Xhamster.
EXCLUSIVE! XHamster Is Blacking Out Access For North Carolina Because Of Anti-LGBT Law!https://t.co/8BacrYvfSt pic.twitter.com/hbUhgQBmzW

Announced on Twitter — presumably because it’s cheaper than creating a porn parody featuring Governor McRory — XHamster brought light to HB2’s hypocrisy by showing total searches and category views for the terms “gay” and “shemale” by North Carolina residents.
The former has nearly 320,000 views while the latter is pushing 500,000.
Now they’re both moot points as North Carolina residents searching for the term are going to have to look elsewhere. We hear PornHub is pretty good.
