NDO/VNA - The Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed 47 new locally-infected cases of COVID-19 in the past 12 hours to 6am on June 22, pushing the national count to 13,530.

Of the new cases, 36 were found in Ho Chi Minh City, nine in Bac Giang, and one each in Nghe An and Gia Lai.

To date, Vietnam has documented 11,827 domestically-transmitted infections and 1,703 imported ones.

The number of recoveries is 5,453, while the death toll related to COVID-19 is 69.

Among the active patients, 377 have tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, 132 twice and 141 thrice.

Eighteen provinces that were hit by the pandemic have gone through 14 days without new infections.

In the context of complicated developments, the MoH called on citizens to follow the 5K message, including khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration), to help contain the outbreaks.
