From Hanoi to Moc Chau, the ideal means of transport is a car, because if you are not a professional “backpacker”, it is difficult for you to safely cross the bends.

Detailed schedule

Only 2 days and 1 night to explore Moc Chau, so visitors need to carefully consider the places to go to save the most time without regret. We will offer the following suggested schedule:

Day 1: Hanoi – Moc Chau – Fairy Waterfall

7:30 am: Depart from Hanoi.

12:30: Receive homestay and store your things, have lunch at the homestay, and rest for energy.

14h30: Go to Fairy Waterfall.

Nang Tien Waterfall is located in Chieng Khoa commune, Van Ho, Son La, nearly 30km from the center of Moc Chau town. This is waterfall located in the middle of the primeval forest, known as the most beautiful waterfall in Moc Chau.

The waterfall has 3 floors with the water estimated to be hundreds of meters high and each floor has its own beauty. From the parking spot, visitors only need to walk about 200m to meet the first romantic waterfall. Moreover, when we follow the small path upstream of the water to go deeper inside, the more we go, the more we feel the majesty of nature.

Also because the water flows strongly in this season, the bamboo rafting service near the waterfall cannot be operated for tourists.

16h00: Go to cafe to watch the sunset in Chieng Khoa, back to Moc Chau town.

17h30: Have dinner at a restaurant serving Northwest cuisine around the homestay.

Day 2: Na Ka Valley – Heart tea hill – Hanoi

7:00: Breakfast. Go to Na Ka valley.

Coming to Na Ka this season, there are no plum blossoms or ripe plums laden with branches, but there are suffocating white cabbage gardens, like a silk ribbon winding around the hillsides. This place is also about 5km from the heart of tea hill, so it is quite convenient to move.

9:00: Go to the heart of tea hill.

There are some people who have been to Cau Dat tea hill in Da Lat before, so they have no intention of coming here. However, it is not natural that the tea hills here are still so crowded with tourists. That’s because there is not one but a series of tea gardens close together, like a green lawn. If the area of the heart tea hill is crowded, please move to the hill on the opposite side.

In addition, right on the way to the tea hill, there is a dairy farm, you can visit the cow’s milk production process and enjoy a cup of hot fresh milk.

If you like to explore and your health allows, please refer to a more “hard” schedule, instead of just going to Na Ka valley and visiting the heart tea hill.

Or… Day 2: Primitive Village – Tau Cave – Moc Chau Town – Hanoi

7:00: Breakfast. Go to the primitive village.

Located in a small valley, in the original village, although it has begun to attract many visitors, it has not lost its wild, poetic beauty. However, the road to the original village has many difficult sections.

You must definitely start your trip early in the morning. Here, there is only a 3km long road but very steep, and many people have spent nearly 1 hour to cross.

Not to mention, there is absolutely no phone signal here, so if the front is a fork in the road, there are only 2 ways, one is to turn big, the other is to stop and pray for local people to pass by to ask for directions.

11:30: Return to Moc Chau town, have lunch, rest, prepare to check out.

Where can I check-in flowers?

Canola flower gardens are scattered along many roads of Moc Chau. Therefore, in the process of moving to the main places mentioned above, visitors will encounter a lot and can stop to check in. Some cabbage gardens are at their most beautiful, especially on the way to Tau cave, to Na Ka valley, in the town of Moc Chau Farm or on the way to Nang Tien waterfall.

What to eat in Moc Chau?

Although in the mountains, in Moc Chau, there are a lot of salmon. When walking around the center, it is not difficult to come across restaurants serving this dish – like a familiar thing here. Famous restaurants in town can be mentioned as Tuan Gu, and Thuong Hien, or for the most convenience, please book with the homestay owner in advance.

And also don’t forget to enjoy cow’s milk and sticky rice yogurt – two of the specialties of Moc Chau highland.
