Ao dai designs introduced at “Soldier and Silk” program

HCMC – The HCMC Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, the Political Division of Military Region 7 and the Vietnam Silk House Company jointly organized an artistic fashion program called “Soldier and Silk” on December 21, featuring numerous designs of ao dai (Vietnam’s traditional long dress).

The program was aimed at marking the 78th anniversary of the Vietnamese People’s Army.

The ao dai collections by designers Cong Huan, Cao Duy, Nguyen Thuy, Cao Minh Tien, Ngoc Thanh, Thien An, Le Kyo and Minh Hanh combined the image of soldiers and silk, reflecting the loyal friendship and solidarity among soldiers during wartime.

The ao dai show evoked memories of the historical period of building and protecting the country by the Vietnamese people, especially the soldiers who were dedicated to the people and the nation in the fight against invaders.
