HCMC starts rehabilitation of polluted canal

The project will cost VND73 billion, of which VND50 billion will come from the State budget. It is intended to conserve the melaleuca forests, natural ecosystems and biodiversity, and strengthen the management and fire prevention at the park.
The project will help to enhance ecotourism, promote local culture, improve transportation, and create comfortable living spaces for the forest protection forces.
Some components of the project include a 10-kilometer-long road, concrete bridges at four stations in the forest, box culverts near the Ca Dam Canal, a 3-kilometer-long road linking a station with the Ca Dam Canal and a suspension bridge.
Additionally, some major canals and ponds in the park will be dredged to improve irrigation, watercraft navigation and flood control.
