Snorkeling to see coral at Hon Chao

THUA THIEN – HUE Tourists visiting Hon Chao can scuba dive to see the corals, row a boat, catch fish and then cook it by themselves on a charcoal stove.

Hon Chao is about 10 nautical miles from Lang Co (Phu Loc, Thua Thien – Hue). Seen from above, the island looks like an upside-down pan, with wild and charming beauty. There are more than 144 species of corals, 135 species of seaweed, and about 162 species of fish.

To get to the island, visitors can travel by boat or canoe in groups. Hon Chao is about 1.5 km wide, has diverse terrain including beaches with rocky beaches lying close to each other.

The beach on the island has green sand, gentle waves, suitable for water activities. Some tourists choose to experience camping overnight, fully enjoying the unspoiled beauty of Hon Chao.

In the cool blue water, visitors can dive to see the colorful coral reefs at a depth of 2-7 m. Hon Chao is the habitat of more than 140 species of coral, 135 species of seaweed, and about 160 species of fish.

Hon Chao is also known as the paradise of crabs and snails such as her breasts, oysters, abalone, and sea urchin.
