Vietnamese fruits introduced in Czech Republic

The Vietnamese Fruit Day was held by the Vietnam Embassy in Czech Republic, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Makro Group.

The event aims to promote Vietnamese agricultural products and seek more opportunities to enter the European market, particularly in Czech Republic.

During the day, Czech consumers tried and bought 19 different kinds of fresh fruits representing three regions of Vietnam, including lychee, longan, mango, banana, papaya, blue dragon, rambutan and grapefruit.

Many consumers commented that the Vietnamese fruits were more delicious than similar kinds exported and sold in the market.

At the event, trade representatives from Vietnam and Czech Republic said that Vietnamese agricultural products, particularly fruits, would have many opportunities for further sale in Central and Eastern Europe, including Czech Republic.

Vietnam expects to earn US$2 billion from fruit and vegetable exports this year.
