> Accelerating the progress of COVID-19 vaccination

Specifically, from June 25, Bac Ninh has started to immunise subjects under Government Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP dated February 26 on the procurement and use of COVID-19 vaccines, alongside landlords, business households in the lodging areas, employees at companies approved by the Provincial People’s Committee at the suggestion of Bac Ninh’s Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and its Industrial Parks Management Board.

Those inoculated will continue to expand depending on the number of vaccine doses allocated to the province and the approval of the Provincial People’s Committee.

It is expected that in the first phase of its large-scale rollout, Bac Ninh will receive about 60,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Among the immunisation subjects, there are 500 retired officials aged 60-65, 40,000 employees at businesses, 9,500 labourers from poor and near-poor households, and 10,000 owners of boarding houses and business households in the lodging areas.

To ensure vaccination safety and progress, Bac Ninh’s Department of Health has established 45 injection sites throughout the province (42 fixed and three mobile ones), with a total of 175 injection tables. During the implementation process, the Provincial Centre for Disease Control will coordinate with local health centres and injection sites to organise training on pre-injection screening procedures and the use of software to input the data of vaccine subjects into an electronic health management record system. In addition, the relevant units will develop a specific plan for each phase of receiving vaccines in order to organise COVID-19 immunisation in a safe and effective manner.

Previously, Bac Ninh organised three phases of vaccination with more than 190,000 doses administered to subjects under the Government’s Resolution. As of 11am on June 25, the province had recorded 1,567 COVID-19 cases, including 751 in Bac Ninh City, 594 in Thuan Thanh District, and 128 in Que Vo District. As many as 943 patients have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
