Phu Quy Island or Thu isle, Khoai Xu are attractive rendezvous for you to take a break from the hustle and bustle of urban life, immerse yourself in the nature of the sunny and windy sea.

The clear blue bay looks at the bottom, the island does not charge for tourism, cheap seafood, gentle local people are the factors that attract tourists to the “green pearl” of Binh Thuan.

Move

Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet: You can take a bus to the coastal city of Phan Thiet, travel time about 4 hours. Because we wanted to take the initiative in time and sightseeing along the way, our group chose motorbikes as the means of transportation.

Phan Thiet to Phu Quy island: There are many shipping lines for you to choose to move to the island such as Phu Quy Express, Superdong, Phu Quy Island … We choose the Superdong train, take VIP seats and return to normal seats to have the experience. experience.

However, I think VIP seats will be better because the cabin is quite quiet, served with water, cold towels and chairs. Meanwhile, the regular class is the seat, which is quite hot.

Those who go to the island on weekends should book their tickets 2 weeks to 1 month in advance as boats often run out of seats early. After more than 2 hours floating on the immense sea, the group arrived at Phu Quy island.

Visitors can easily record beautiful frames on Phu Quy island.

Staying

There are many motels and hotels on the island of Phu Quy. However, the quality of tourism services is not as good as the high-end accommodations in major cities. The plus point is that the rooms are clean and the price is quite reasonable, ranging from 300,000 to 400,000 VND / night.

We stopped at the My Nhat motel. The owner is quite enthusiastic, friendly, the new room is clean. The price for a double room is 400,000 VND and a single room is 300,000 VND. We also rent motorbikes here for 100,000 VND / day. The accommodation has a seafood barn and sells milk tea so it is very convenient for eating and drinking.

Play schedule

Because we want more time to rest, our group departs from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet at 19pm on Friday. Guests can rent a house to stay overnight near the pier, convenient to Phu Quy island the next morning. If traveling on a weekend, you need to make a reservation in advance to reserve your seat.

Our group chose Hanh Huong guesthouse, renting a dorm room for 600,000 VND / night for 7 people. The host is enthusiastic and interested in us throughout the trip to eat in Phu Quy.

Day 1

Light breakfast group, then 6:30 depart for the pier. Because we had done medical declaration procedures and bought train tickets in advance, after sending our motorbikes, we were on the train right away, starting the journey to explore Phu Quy.

Delegation to the island at 9.15am. Someone picked up their group at the station and took a motorbike to move on the island. After that, the group moved to the motel near the dock to deliver the items.

Because we intend to camp on the island, we go to the Committee for immigration procedures. Phu Quy is a military island, tourists want to camp, so ask for a permit in advance.

Visitors need to keep the general hygiene, should not camp fire, noisy activities on the island.

After that, we went to Hoa Thang hot beef shop for lunch. The space is open, although the restaurant is crowded, the food is also quite quality. After lunch, we went to Sea Wind Coffee. The shop is located near 7-color rocky beach, cool sea view, suitable for hot summer afternoon escape.

The group stopped by the Phu Quy raft village to buy seafood. Phu Quy is famous for delicious, nutritious and cheap seafood. We bought nearly 2 kg of squid, oysters, crabs, sea urchin, all for only 1.3 million VND.

Cao Cat Mountain is the next stop in the journey to eat in Phu Quy. Admiring the stacked rock rapids or checking-in the ancient Linh Son temple on the top of the mountain is an unforgettable experience here.

Cao Cat Mountain possesses steep cliffs with fancy shapes.

Sunset falls, the group decided to watch the sunset in Long Vi. After that, we moved back to the property, processed seafood and showered to the campsite.

Trieu Duong Bay and Pheo slope have been registered to camp. Therefore, we set up at Nho beach. The view here is quite chill, in the morning you can watch the dawn right in front of your eyes, especially there is no phone signal, so we are separated from the noisy city.

However, the road to Nho beach has to be quite hard to walk. We were fortunate to be led by a local friend so the schedule was quite smooth.

After setting up camp, we roasted seafood, enjoyed our homemade dinner together. Eating, talking until around 22:00, the whole group cleaned up, watched the stars and went to the tent to rest.

Day 2

We got up early to welcome the dawn, but that day, there were quite a lot of clouds, we could not hunt for the sunrise. Around 6 o’clock, the group cleaned up the tents and garbage and went back to the motel to store things and take a shower. After that, we have breakfast and coffee at the property.

Trieu Duong Bay is the first check-in point of the new day. It has a large beach, white sand, stretching headlines with clear blue sea, suitable for swimming, camping or picnic. However, the scene was not so unique, so we only stopped by for a short time.

The group continued to check-in the Phu Quy flagpole. The flagpole on Phu Quy Island represents Vietnam’s territorial sovereignty. From here, you can take in the view of the emerald green bay, fine sand and undulating rock rapids.

Next, we stopped by Ganh Hang, Infinity Lake and Sung Sung slot. The check-in cluster is favored by paparazzi and backpackers because of the many magical corners of the image. The road to here is a bit difficult to go, but the picturesque scenery will not disappoint you.

Phu Quy Island has many check-in points for visitors to experience.

At noon, we went back to the motel, and the owner helped cook. After that, the group has a lunch break to energize the trip to explore Hon Tranh in the afternoon. 14:00, tour guide Hon Tranh comes to the guesthouse to welcome the group.

Hon Tranh is about 3 km from Phu Quy island, so the group only takes about 15 minutes to move. This is a military base that protects the important sovereignty of sea and islands in the waters of Binh Thuan. In recent years, Phu Quy tourism is increasingly developing, attracting tourists to explore this beautiful island.

The wild beauty in Hon Tranh attracts tourists.

On the canoe, visitors will be fishing by wire according to the instructions. However, some of the members were seasick and that day the sea was rough, so the fishing time was not much.

Hot weather, the group only checked-in in a few beautiful places in Hon Tranh. Swimming, boating, snorkeling, and fishing with fishermen on the boat are popular activities on the island. We decided to row the SUP boat, watch the sunset, enjoy the fresh air here.

After a long day with many interesting experiences, the group went home, took a shower, took a rest, then bought seafood hot pot at Luoi Sea Food home to eat. After eating and drinking, all packed their luggage for the next day to return to the mainland.

Day 3

The ship has tidal problems so it starts at 11:00 am. So, in the last morning on Phu Quy island, we decided to go to Phở slope and the rocky beach to watch the sunrise.

After that, everyone went to eat vermicelli meat, stir-fried vermicelli, banh canh cha even at the 3-way intersection of the port. The fiber dishes at the restaurant are quite delicious. Spinach is a strange dish not to be missed here.

Next, we moved to the Master’s Tomb. There are artificial lakes on the sea with unique architecture, the background that is in the frames of young people.

The teacher’s grave is a favorite check-in spot for young people.

Phong Dien is the next check-in point. The fans here are built to generate electricity for the people of the island. The tour is quite impressive, the two sides are the sea and the rows of poplar trees on the path.

Next, the group stopped by the wall to check-in on Phu Quy island and the 7-color embankment. Vibrant colors along the embankment are ideal for virtual living. At the same time, visitors can come here for a walk, enjoy the wind or catch the sunset.

Khe Sung Sung in Ganh Hang is the last stop in the journey to discover Phu Quy island. The group came here to swim, relax, then go home, pack their things to the pier.

Arriving at Phan Thiet pier, the group took a motorbike, then stopped at Hoa Giay coffee shop to rest. Near 15 o’clock, we go to Banh Canh Gai on Tran Hung Dao street to satisfy our hungry stomach. After eating, we returned to Ho Chi Minh City, ending this exciting trip.
