The road decorated nearly 150 golden apricots

HO CHI MINH CITY – For the past 15 years, every Tet holiday on the sidewalk of Pham Ngoc Thach Street (District 1) is bright yellow, attracting many people to visit and take pictures.

From January 27, a section of Pham Ngoc Thach street and the campus of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House (District 1) bustled the Tet atmosphere. The whole area is golden with 145 apricot root divided equally in areas, with many spring miniatures, Ong Do street.

This is a part of the Vietnamese New Year festival at the Youth Cultural House, held annually for 15 years. At the entrance is a large apricot garden, with trees nearly 5 m high.

Although it is a fake flower, the bright yellow color of the flower symbolizing the Southern New Year makes the street corner filled with spring colors.

Right from the beginning, the festival space has attracted many people to have fun from morning to night. Here visitors can rent ao dai for 50,000 VND an hour, the stalls also sell apricot flowers and fake diggers to make photo props

Quynh Nhu rented an ao dai and brought more chrysanthemums to take pictures. “The apricot flowers are very beautiful, I feel like every corner can get beautiful pictures. I am very excited to have a set of spring day photos”, the 18-year-old girl shared.

The festival also reappears the countryside space, Ong Do street, craft village, kitchen … on the traditional Tet holiday.

Along with Mai Street, Ong Do Street on Pham Ngoc Thach sidewalk, after 15 years of organization, is also a familiar spring travel destination for people every Tet. Every year, in Ong Do street, more young people display Chinese ink and red paper for the word spring day.

Dressed in a traditional ao dai dress, Minh Anh attentively wrote every word for visitors. “I have been studying calligraphy for almost a year. This is my second year in Ong Do Street, to improve my skills. It is very fun to give away good words on Tet.” share age.
