Continuing that spirit, on January 10, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, National University of Ho Chi Minh City organized the Green Hair – Vap Austria Festival with the desire to spread the good cultural values ​​of ethnicity to student.

The festival has the participation and participation of many favorite groups about ancient Vietnamese antiquities and ancient costumes: Thien Nam Lich Dai Hau Phi, Great Vietnam, History Talk, Thousand years of History Vietnam, Ỷ Van Hien, Vuong Su Kien Due , Dai Nam Hoi Quan, Tran Dai Nghia High School Culture Club … These are all groups of young people who have passion and love Vietnamese culture.

Green Hair – Vap Ao took place throughout January 10 with many meaningful activities: ancient costumes, ancient booths, talk shows about the journey to restore Nguyen dynasty hats, talk show talks about traditional ao dai , talkshow Bringing Vietnamese folklore to the world and a gala night reenacting the classic book ceremony of Queen Trieu Nguyen.

Co-leader of the organizing committee, Mr. Ton That Minh Khoi, shared: “In 2020, the ancient movement will develop strongly, it is the result of a long process. Before, people’s awareness about ancient costumes. In general, it is only limited to ao dai, quartet or t-shirt.  I think this is a big shortcoming compared to the length of our national costume “. 

We want to promote more traditional costumes. It can be said that Green Hair – Flap Austria is the largest-scale costume festival in the South until now.

Mr. Pham Nhat Tien (member of the Vietnamese Cultural Club of Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School) introduced to the participants the cultural features of the Nguyen Dynasty.

The 12 stalls of the guilds at the festival convey many traditional cultural beauty of Vietnam. Dai Nam Hoi’s booth restores the customs of the ancient Southern people, especially the way of displaying Southern worship according to the rule “East of the East and the West”. 

The booths Thien Nam Lich Dai Hau Phi, Ỷ Van Hien, Hoa Nien … exhibited all kinds of costumes of the Nguyen Dynasty, such as dress-up clothes, robes, five-body shirts, long sleeves and costumes of the concubines. ancient times.

Many young people enjoy being introduced and tried on traditional costumes. Vo Thanh Trung – a student of the University of Information Technology – shared: “The outfit is very comfortable, I feel the majesty and the traditional beauty when wearing it. 

This is a very valuable opportunity for young people like me to learn and meet people who share a love of Vietnamese culture. Hopefully in the future there will be more interesting and meaningful events like this to be held “.

Vuong Su Kien Due’s booth attracted the curiosity of many young people when introducing the traditional Vietnamese crossbow art. 

“We choose to introduce Vietnamese archery because this is a topic that few people study, but many people are interested in. However, there are still many misunderstandings such as Vietnam without armor, no archery. but only crossbow shooting. 

Archery is one of the three entrance exam subjects for martial arts from the Tran to Le dynasties. Although the materials on the ancient weapons and archery of our country are still limited, we always try to build and introduce as closely as possible, “said Representative Vuong Su Kien Due.
