Latest printing technologies on display at ASGA Vietnam 2017

This is the first printing industry exhibition organised by the Asia-Pacific Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association (ASGA) in Southeast Asia.

The three-day show has brought together more than 200 exhibitors from 13 countries around the world, namely Japan, China, India, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

The product categories on display include screen printing, digital printing, electronic printing, packaging printing, ceramic printing and other relevant applications.

Addressing the opening ceremony, ASGA President Jennifer Shen said that Vietnam has been recognised as a nation with a stable economic growth and a potential business environment.

The country is also an attractive investment market for industries using printing technologies such as garment and textile, leather and footwear, and electronic devices, she added.

The exhibition is expected to attract attention from relevant enterprises, contributing to accelerating the development of the printing industry and industries using printing technologies in Southeast Asian nations, particularly in Vietnam.

According to Le Ngoc Trung, deputy head of the southern division of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, there is a huge demand for printing in Vietnam, with the number of printing businesses increasing rapidly in recent times.

The ASGA Vietnam 2017 will function as a useful connection between printing firms both at home and abroad, encouraging Vietnamese companies to access advanced printing techniques and technologies, discuss measures to improve the quality of products with leading printing businesses in the region and around the world, and establish long-term cooperative relations, contributing to boosting the development of Vietnam’s printing industry in the future, he added.

In addition to product display and introduction activities, the ASGA Vietnam 2017 organising committee will also hold seminars and technical training sessions, aiming to share experience and techniques in applying printing technology on specific materials and products for enterprises.
